| In a world characterized by progress
and permanent technical innovation, in a world that is explored into
the smallest nanoparticles, one element seems to be more important
than ever before: Music. It is the rhythm of our life, penetrating
our body, our soul. And exactly that high value music does have in
the life of Kris Benton. Kris is some type of melancholic influenced
feller coming from a small town background in the province, living
in Berlin now for more than a year, being creative there, developing
his own definition of good music. Describing his music is easy for
Kris: “Music is my motor for associations, integration and innovation”.
Maybe these expectations seem hard to fulfil at the first glance –
though the simplicity in his words. But it is getting evident when
you have the chance to listen to Kris Benton´s music –
it´s getting clear that music without any doubt has that high
priority in his life. You can hear that, you can feel that in every
single beat.
And it´s like that on his debut on Next Essence. “Delicious”,
“Jumping Bob” and “Yeah” are exactly those
tracks you can feel that special vibe in from the very first second
on. In an easy, subtle and decent way the groove, being the essential
element of all four tracks, is finding its way to listener´s
ear, enchanting him, taking him to the musical spheres of Kris Benton.
Being nearly built with zero gravity they are expanding in the listener´s
imagination, creating the need to dance with their groovy and sexy
character and letting something open at the same time. It´s
these soft nuances, these small but slight hints giving Kris Benton´s
opus another level besides the dance orientated one – a spiritual
one, asking the listener to become a part of these adventures, inviting
him to interact and bring in his own creativity. Associations, integration
and innovation – this is Kris Benton.
